RSN Certificate, Jacobean crewelwork, Day 4 and 5

J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon 4ème et 5ème jour de travail. Il n’y a plus eu de changements dans le “stitch plan” et j’ai avancé sur ma fleur en brodant un treillis et du point briqueté. Par contre j’ai du découdre tout une partie de mon point de tige en relief, car le tuteur m’a dit qu’il était trop fouillis autour du tronc, comparé à l’ensemble des points de ma broderie qui étaient très nets et précis. Et bien sur maladroite que je suis, j’ai trop coupé et les trois quart des fils sont partis, il ne restait donc pas grand chose de ce que j’avais fait les jours précédents !

I really enjoyed my fourth and fifth day at the Royal school of needlework. No more change in the stitch plan. The tutor told me the long and short I did myself was good and I move on the flower with trellis, burden stitch and satin stitch. On the other hand, I had to unpick a part of my raised stem stitch around the owl because it was not so net as the rest of the embroidery. And unfortunately I cut too much and almost all my work gone away.

Le 5ème jour j’ai continué à avancer sur la fleur en brodant du passé plat rembourré, ainsi que du passé plat pour le bec de ma grue.

On the fifth day, I continued to work on the flower with padded satin stitch and a bit on my biggest bird with satin stitch.
